At Insight Study we believe that students can only do well if an educational environment is safe, creative and compassionate: trust and honesty are the fundamental building blocks of the school and our relationships to students and their parents.
Our focus is on developing students’ language skills, help them become more confident in and out of the classroom, encourage them towards leadership and setting positive challenges during activities and excursions.
We ensure that our teaching and activity staff are enhanced DBS-checked, have appropriate qualifications to perform their role, and are adequately trained and briefed on all aspects of student living and welfare.
Should any issues arise, we ensure that they are dealt with swiftly and appropriately. We understand that for many students it will be their first time away from home so they or their parents may have concerns during their stay in our centre.
We ensure that staff are available on site 24 hours and provide an emergency number for parents to contact a staff member or to forward messages to their child. The number is also available for students to contact us at any time. All students are offered a UK mobile SIM card (free of charge) so that they have a UK number which staff or host families can access easily.
All students are issued with ID cards and school emergency contact details as part of their induction. A designated welfare person is available at any time to deal with concerns students, parents or carers may have.
For adult learners (18+) we have allocated tutor time where students can talk freely about their course, living in London or other matters. Students are able to make a one-to-one appointment with the designated student welfare officer to talk about private matters.
So, whether our students are in the classroom, on excursion or any activity led by us, we will ensure that their safety and welfare is paramount. Overall, we want our students to achieve the best they can and that their experience is enjoyable.
